In this paper, we study a metamaterial structure with multi-band and wideband EIT-like effect. Through the finite integration time domain method, the multi-band EIT-like structure was obtained by coupling two bright modes to two dark modes on transverse magnetic (TM) wave. And wideband EIT effect was studied on transverse electric (TE) wave by bright-bright mode coupled. The influence of the structural parameters of the structure on the transmission is analyzed. The performance index Q and sensitivity of the structure in the sensing domain are discussed. By comparison of theoretical calculation and experimental test results, the result in microwave band is basically match. The results show that the structure has potential applications in refractive index sensing and multiband filters.
