Experimental spectra of Ag x Al1-x (top) and Ag x In1-x (bottom) for x = 0.75 (light blue) and x = 0.25 (deep purple) before annealing (dotted lines) and after annealing under reducing atmosphere (full lines). Ag-Al samples were annealed at 500 °C during 90 min whereas Ag-In samples were annealed for one hour at 400 °C and then 1 h at 600 °C. The spectral position of the LSPR band in the UV-range proves the presence of metallic aluminium and indium in the BNPs.
