TEM images of uncapped Ag x In1-x BNPs, for x = 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 (from left to right). Both STEM-HAADF and HR-TEM modes reveal that Ag0.75In0.25 BNPs are composed of a mono-phased Ag-rich alloy while Ag0.50In0.50 and Ag0.25In0.75 particles adopt a core@shell structure with an Ag-rich alloyed core and a shell made of c-In2O3. In the cores, several Ag-rich phases (ς-Ag7In3, Ag2In) were identified. Some FCC structures cannot be unambiguously indexed and the existence of pure silver cores in some BNPs cannot be excluded.
