| New in 2009: Fast online publication with a new numbering scheme for the EPJAP (Jan. 2009) |

From the first 2009 issue, an article in The European Physical Journal - Applied Physics will be quoted as follows: Eur. Phys. J. Appl. Phys. 45, 20301 (2009). 45 corresponding to the volume and 20301 to the number of the article (replacing thus the page number). This scheme offers significant advantages and flexibility: it moves publication dates up, and allows immediate quotation of an article soon after the page proofs have been returned by the authors.As a consequence, an online issue will be “opened” as soon as the first article is ready for publication (Open issue service) and the issue will be regularly updated with additional articles. All articles should be cited by their final citation reference. |
